Witch’s Door

That’s me door. He had it rough, ‘afore he was mine. Lived in a courtyard, and he twas two. A pair o’ benches. Noble butts sat on their faces for years, then they were throw away so stone ones could take their place.

I saw their potential. So, I stole the benches home, broke them apart, then bond them into a single being. I made ‘im into a door, etched ‘im with runes, and imbued ‘im with magic. He became the best door I’ve had. Thick he is and beautiful. Also strong. Needs to be. Tis he who shields me from Nuckelavee’s knock.

He also is good company. Always whispering the things he heard throughout his years o’ living in yer castle. Lots o’ things he knew.

Now, Your Highness, I’ve spent centuries enchanting every wall, every nook, and every cobweb o’ this place. Ya can’t defeat a witch in ‘er own home. And if ya try to harm those I love on the outside, everything door whispered to me will be yelled ‘cross the lands. Ya won’t ‘ave an ally left. No man will stand near ya, much less by ya.

Ya met door. I suggest ya use ‘im.
