In an effort to bring our contributors as much payment as possible we have endeavored with a system where submitters could pay a little bit more of a submission fee and submit up to 3x as long of a piece or as many pieces if it was poetry, and they would receive extra feedback, and that $10 (minus submittable fees) would all go to paying the contributors. Additionally we’ve included this quarter an option to include a tip on some submissions, which of course also gets our many thanks. This issue was a success in no small part because of these awesome benefactors, who knew that because we read submissions entirely blind they had exactly the same odds as everyone else. We had a few PiF submitters who chose to remain anonymous (and we are only human and may have missed someone), but here are a bunch who were ok with me saying THANK YOU SO MUCH!
To those wonderful PiF benefactors who haven’t received a response yet—know that we’ll be reading your work soon, and that we appreciate you. And to those PiF benefactors that clicked to both be thanked publicly and also to remain anonymous, we thank you, and if you decided that you’d like your name after all or we somehow missed you send us a message. Some of these wonderful benefactors also just made donations to Coastal Shelf unrelated to submissions, just because they thought we were awesome, and we definitely appreciate that as well! If we’re missing anyone please message us so we can fix that oversight!
